What to see on the way to the Hotel Orlando

Once you arrive in Sardinia, along the road that leads from Olbia -Alghero – Nuoro  to the Hotel Orlando, we recommend two short stops:

Follow the road signs to “Lanusei-Arbatax” and take the SS 389.

After Corr’e Boi tunnel, you will find on your left a junction of the roadhouse of Pira Onni, more ahead on the right, you will meet the archaeological site S’arcu ‘e is Forros“, temple complex dating back to the Nuragic Age. Just a few kilometers further on, about 4 km from Villanova Strisaili you will find  the archaeological complex Sa Carcaredda which includes a temple, a village and five giants’ tombs. The temple, built in squared granite blocks, is a rare example of nuragic structure.

The area is open from 9 a.m.  to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is close on Mondays unless advance reservation.
